Lemons and lavender are practically best friends. As mentioned in my recipe for Lavender Extract, my first introduction to lavender for culinary purposes was in the form of lavender lemonade. The two ingredients compliment each other extremely well.
This recipe is similar to lavender lemonade, but is strictly for grown ups! It's a bit tart, very floral, and reasonably fizzy. It's based on a recipe for a drink called the Tom Collins, but with a lot more flavor (and sweetness!). Best of all, it's easy to whip it together. Enjoy!
Instructions
If desired, wet and sugar the rim of a tumbler. Fill halfway with ice. Pour ingredients over ice. Start with 1/2 ounce of the Lavender Extract. Stir and sip. Add more extract at 1/2 ounce at a time if a more floral taste is desired.
